SHIKARPUR: The people of Shikarpur were irked when unannounced prolonged
power outage was conducted by Sukkur Electric Power Company [SEPCO]. After the prolonged
outage, the people of Shikarpur strongly condemned the tactic
s of SEPCO officials in Shikarpur and expressed their reservations believing that as the summer season has begun,
power outages have been increased across the district despite of several announcements made by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He stated that
power outages have been reduced across Pakistan while resident
s of Shikarpur
demanded the SEPCO Chief Sukkur and other officials to reduce the duration
of power
outages to remain in accord with a schedule issued by SEPCO authorities, otherwise they threatened to extend their protest movement against unannounced load shedding accordingly.
